Shimla, Jagaran Reporter People have relieved from long-running drought conditions. The first snowfall of the season in Shimla has returned the sunshine. Ice has fulfilled the expectations of tourists as well as farmers and gardeners. As soon as snow fell out, people came out of their homes and started capturing this scene in a mobile phone. In the meantime, all the elderly youths had a lot of fun The forecast released by the Meteorological Department is accurate. Due to this prediction, tourists have already turned the capital and the areas surrounding it to Kufri and Narkanda. Clouds had been encircled since Tuesday morning, but snowfall in Shimla did not begin till 1 PM. However, in the high mountain areas, light snow started in the morning since 11 o'clock in the morning. Temperatures had dropped very much since Tuesday morning. The temperature in the state was recorded at 5 to 7 degree.
Himachal, which is facing drought for more than a month, is likely to have rain and snowfall today. The minimum temperature was recorded below zero in three districts of the state on Monday. Despite sunlight in the daytime, there is no relief from morning and evening cold, though there is strong sunlight in the day. In the three places of the state, minimum temperature is below zero, in Kelang -6.9, Bhuntar 0.1 and Manali -1.0. People are frozen with cold in the morning and evening due to the temperature going below zero.
In the plains, too much cold is occurring in the morning and evening. On Monday, Shimla's minimum temperature was recorded 6.0 while the minimum temperature in Una, Solan, Sundernagar was less than Shimla. The maximum temperature in the state was recorded at 24.2 degree Celsius in Una.
