First Golden Globes and now BAFTA, why is Priyanka missing from all the major international events this year?

Priyanka Chopra was crowned the Miss World back in 2000, but looks like her mission of conquering the world hasn’t stopped yet. After having a super successful stint in Bollywood, the actress has now shifted her focus on various international projects. Needless to say, the former beauty queen is enjoying a successful reign globally too. With her famous American TV series Quanticoentering its third season and upcoming Hollywood films Isn’t It Romantic and A Kid Like Jake, Priyanka has her kitty full of international projects. The actress has also put India on a global map by putting her best fashion foot forward whenever she sashayed down the red carpet.  However, we can’t help but wonder  what made PeeCee miss many major award shows this year

Priyanka looked her sexiest in an elaborate golden gown at the Golden Globes last year that featured a plunging neckline. We also couldn’t get enough of Priyanka and Sofia’s camaraderie from the red carpet. However, PeeCee did attend Golden Globes 2018 and we definitely missed her. Though she wasn’t present, the actress shared a post on her Instagram showing solidarity towards the ‘Me Too’ and ‘Time’s Up’ campaign. She shared, ‘Today we wear black. Wherever you are, whoever you are, whatever you're doing...join us’.  In the light of sexual harassment revelations, celebs were seen wearing all-black looks as a sign of protest.

The actress was busy as a bee shooting for Quantico season 3 in New York City and couldn’t attend the much-talked about award function. Therefore, she supported the movement through social media. 

Priyanka also missed the The 71st British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) awards last evening. While last year, she walked with Hollywood A-listers on the red carpet, the actress opted to spend the weekend away from her busy work life and soak in some sun by the pool. She took to Instagram to share a picture and update her fans about the same. Her caption read, ‘So..#ChopraOut #LongWeekend’.

Well, we love the fact that the actress has taken some time out from her busy life to relax and rejuvenate; but we miss seeing her on the red carpet events. To be honest, we are very excited to see her sashay down the red carpet soon.
